I hear so much about it, but this go around I hear is for previous attendees.

I'm almost inclined to reach out to the founding fathers and ask for special clearance to come.

So then....can I get some info?

Unless some news has just broken... there is no information. Faffcon 10 will (reportedly) be the final hurrah for Faffy. The last official communique stated, "We regret that we won't be holding the event in 2019 after all, and 2020 isn't looking appreciably better."

I'm a die-hard Faffer and love the events... but I'm beginning to think they may just be a fond memory.

The big deal about Faffcon was that none of the speakers were there to sell you anything. They were fellow industry professionals who had information and experience to share, and the forums were usually open so anyone with knowledge could add to the discussion.

This last one (#10) was supposed to be an "anniversary" event meant to play off of the first one here in Portland and to be limited to previous attendees of the 9 first programs. If it happens, there might be a chance for Faffcon virgins to attend.

As much as I love and prefer this format, the best moments have been (just like all the other VO conventions) the personal time with folks over a beverage or a meal.

All of these conventions will not make you a more successful talent. What you take home from them and use well is what will work for you.

If we can get you to come to Portland, Oregon at any point - I know we can get a bunch of our local VO folks to meet up and hold an event in your honor, Tre. This will involve gabbing over drinks at a local establishment, some shop talk and a lot of non-shop-talk. Maybe even a karaoke evening to end the event - if you enjoy that sort of thing. You know many of the VO people around here.

We'll even give it a snappy convention title Wink Just say when.

Also, what Kim said. Come to Portlandia. We have donuts.
