For the life of me..I can't find it!

The PHANTOM Power switch is there on the right...but the On/Off switch? Shocked

Sorry if I'm being dense...
It's not my mixer BTW, but you would make me look really good if you told me so I could pass along the info! Laugh

Liz,

There is a reason you cannot find one - it is because the on/off switch does not exist on the Behringer.

You may choose to unplug the A/C Power In connection if you desire, but unless you have a power cord with an on/off - there is NOT one on the mixer.

Frank, you rock!
I was actually hoping you were going to say that, 'cause I was feeling pretty silly not finding it!

Thanks!

EDIT...is there a REASON they wouldn't put an on/off switch on it?

Just curious....

Not necessary.... Many small studios have a one point on/off switch for all their electrical in the studio. Many VO folks use these in home studios and put the mixer in the same circuit as other items which can be switched On/Off with a power strip. The other option is these small mixers are often very portable and used for touring bands/groups, so they are moved and plugged in quite often.

Or, Behringer is being cheap - another switch another buck...???

When I bought my Behringer mixer many years ago, I was really annoyed that I couldn't turn it off. So I bought something like this:

I bought mine from Radio Shack, and it looked differet than this one, but it's the same idea.

Cheers,
Rich

I think it is DUMB and inconvenient that there is no switch on it. There IS A NEED for one...at least as I am using it. I don't want to walk around behind my console to plug it in or unplug it or flip a switch...and I run it independently.....Though I have run a power strip from behind my console, thru the bottom and turn it on and off with that using my foot...WEAK!!! I am replacing it soon...I love the mixer but this is just dumb....AND I would advise anyone reading this that has one (if you don't know this already) that you NOT use the PIN plug going into the mixer as your source of "on/off"....breakage and bending is sure to occur.

I highly recommend the Mackie 802 VLZ3 as a replacement. It is more money, but it is far superior in quality (even though both are Chinese).
AND it has a power switch.
Happy Turkey!
