The November Radio And Production Magazine is hitting mailboxes right now, and an article I wrote on USB microphones got top billing.
If you don't get the mag, you can find it here:

I only scanned the article, but have a look at the Se Electronics 2200A USB. _________________ www.davidmonteath.com

I'll pass that along to the folks in my network that use USB's. Thanks. |

I have to echo the sentiment that for the material that gets compressed for web usage, etc, a good USB mic is fine. We have both flavors of mic here (USB and regular mic with A/D converter). I like my USB mic, it does work with my voice, and with a good sound card, it's fine. _________________ Charter Member: Threadjackers Local 420 |

I'm wayyyyy late to this party, but I found this article very helpful.
And, I enjoyed and learned from your other Blog -- "Pickups, Revisions, Re-reads, oh my..."
Thanks!

Loren,
I'm glad Stefania popped this back to the surface because I somehow missed reading this the first time around. Well done, sir. _________________ Be well,

Thank you. I'm revising years of articles and essays I've written and adding them to the site as they get done. |

Thank you for your kind comment.
Loren is one of my production network colleagues in Orlando. Another really good bloke who's slowly working the "radio" out of his voice to be accessible to a wider clientèle. |
