I'm embarassed to say this, but I client just asked me "please let me know your rates for a 60 sec MOA - medical" - and I have no idea what the heck MOA is. Can you give me a clue?
Thanks!! _________________ Best regards,

Apart from an extinct flightless bird - my first thought - maybe it's some kind of medical association. Like, ophthalmological or orthopaedic or suthin'. Massachusetts, Maryland, Mississippi... can somebody stop me....
Maybe you should suggest they hire a talent with a clue....

Sorry. Really. Kind of. |

My bet is on Mechanism of Action. Sounds like they need a 60 second video narration. _________________ Greg Littlefield

Ding ding ding ding ding! I think we have a winner!
Greg, my potential client says MOA stands for "Method Of Action". You're close enough. Tell him what he won, Carol Marrol! (Are you old enough to know who she is?).
Thanks for playing,

Drat. I had originally put "method" in there, but after further googling, I changed my answer.
(crosses fingers and hopes for a NEW CAR behind door number one instead of a goat...)
Also, good for you for checking with the client on the exact term. Always better to ask than to not and look like a dope (as I've done on more than a few occasions). _________________ Greg Littlefield

With all the acronyms out there, you did the right thing... ask the client what they mean when they type something on to the copy.
I do a lot of military oriented narrations and always have to ask what it means and how to pronounce what is written.
Valuable lesson learned: If it is not written out or defined or written in phonetics - ask.

My union at work has a MOA= Memorandum Of Agreement
Not really sure if that's it but I thought I'd throw it out!

so what in sam hill is a method of action?
and greg., a goat behind door #1 wouldn't be so bad in some countries
now if any lady had a goat in her purse, that'd be worth somethin' real big to monty. _________________ sitting at #8, though not as present as I'd like to be. Hello!

I'm guessing that "Method of Action" is a video that explains a process. These folks do a lot of medical animation programs - like "this is how aspiring dissolves into the bloodstream. Now this is how is reduces inflammation in your lower ear joint..." _________________ Best regards,

One good thing about economic downturns is that they make frilly abstractions like MOA go bye-bye. _________________ Skype: globalvoiceover
