I'm in need of buying some stack Traxx but I don't subscribe to the DJ mails anymore. Anyone seen any deals from DJ, they know of? _________________ Jeff

Jeff, I haven't gotten an e-mail from them in months. They seemed hot and heavy for a while, but then just died off with their stacktraxxs deals.
They seem to be pushing the editor's toolkits as of late. Best deal I can find is the 5 volumes for $80, if you've already purchased about 70-80 dollars worth of stuff.
Sorry I can't offer you any more info than that. _________________ Voiceovers by Gregory Houser

yeah I saw that deal too, thanks. I kinda wondered why I wasn't getting the DJ email deals. I hadn't gotten one in months either and figured I must have unsubscribed or something. _________________ Jeff

nah, it seems to be that there aren't as many deals, or that if you don't buy often, you get unsubscribed quickly.
I just logged in to check for any "secret deals". No dice.
I wouldn't be surprised about seeing one for Labor Day though, so keep your eyes peeled. _________________ Voiceovers by Gregory Houser

That would be dumb to take me off their list if I didn't buy anything. If I removed potential clients from list because they hadn't hired me in a while, my list would shrink rapidly. Is isn't that one of the points of advertising? Reach out to people who haven't used you?
Not saying you're wrong. Just saying that would be monumentally stupid if true. _________________ Jeff

sadly, there are companies which do that.
Right now, I'm loving the silversmith I found at VOICE. They actually took the time to call me and make sure that the necklace I got for my gf and the money clip I got for a friend were well received.
Now that's good service.
/used the opportunity to get some custom stuff done for myself while I was at it _________________ Voiceovers by Gregory Houser

They had a silversmith at VOICE - where was I? Must have been listening to the ADK microphones. That was a cool little setup. Brought down my AKG1000 to compare it to the ADK mics. There were a couple of rather inexpensive models that sounded really good. Larry told me his dad made the rig. _________________ Playing for a living...

DJ still sends out daily e-mails, but pretty much all of their current deals are usually on their website too... haven't seen many e-mail only specials lately. They did a 4 for $99 deal last month and I think Yoda's probably right that there'll be another one for Labor Day.
I've got probably a dozen of the StackTraxx libraries, really useful stuff for the most part and a lot better quality than most of their old BackTraxx libraries... not that I haven't found a lot of useful stuff in them too, but the newer stuff is a significant step up. _________________ Chris Rice - Noisemaker

All I get are the DJ bi-monthly magazines... no emails of late. _________________ "Bailey"

Usually it's just print catalogs that will drop you from mailings if you don't buy stuff.
I think as has been said, they just haven't run too many deals recently. I did just get one within the last couple of days re: a Lightwave rendering plugin for PhotoShop but that's it. _________________ Lou Zucaro

I didn't get any of those, and I'm on the mailing list.
Weird...
And to answer Connie's question (ending the potential threadjack). The silversmith was in Beverly Hills, not at VOICE. They did some work on a belt for me, so I checked it out. Snagged an awesome necklace for Sandy, and a money clip for Bob (he more than deserved it). Pat Areias was the person doing the work (she's got a site if you're interested). _________________ Voiceovers by Gregory Houser

I still get the daily DJ emails and I've never bought anything from them. Mainly because the shipping to Canada is more expensive than the product _________________ Elaine

Hi Jeff,
Couldn't figure out how to "link" their latest e-mail here so I forwarded it separately to your e-mail address.
There's a mix & match of four for $99 without requiring an additional purchase. _________________ --Michael

Reviving this thread because they currently have a 5 for $79.95 Stacktraxx deal AND they've brought back previously sold-out volumes... so if you missed out on Cinematic or Sports or a few others before they ran out, they're back for a limited time. _________________ Chris Rice - Noisemaker
