It'd be next to impossible for it to actually disappear...it's either where you sent it, in another location that it got dropped into by mistake (as somebody else suggested) or in the recycle bin.

mmmm...boy....Lou....yes, your post - which sort of made me feel feel like I've never seen a computer before - (and I'm a dot prompt girl!) - prompted me to try to move another file and see where it wanted to send it.

I discovered that the folder actually ended up in My Pictures/MCA-I/Graphics on the same computer...so I moved it back to where it started from and then copied the folder to My Network Places.

So thanks to all - and with a little emotional nudge from Lou - I found the folder. Now - will it install after all of this? Found the Setup file and moved the folder to the desktop and tried to use both the Add Programs path and the double click on the file method and it isn't budging...oh well...

WOOOHOOOO for finding it! That's great news, at least, even if it won't yet execute. Do any of your other exe files run on this new tower?

Yes - there is lots of software on the new tower...most installed from CD, some from downloads. The critical install file appears to be missing...ftpproec.exe.

I'm still connected on the old computer - my recording computer - and networked, so in the short term, no big deal to drop things into the network folder and go across the room to the "studio" to upload things.

But we get sooooo lazy.

Again - thanks for all the input.

Hey Connie, glad you found it...sorry if my message came across harshly as that wasn't my intention...I was probably on the phone and typing in a hurry or something.

But glad you found it Smile

Does the software have the license built in or do you have a key in a separate file / e-mail? If the latter, maybe you can just re-download it and enter the license key afterward.
