What would you guys charge for the following:

Three pages of website narration explaining all of the features of a new search engine. It would be recorded at home. Minimal cleanup editing, no music.

I ask because I'm still having trouble nailing down appropriate rates for smaller companies. Thanks!

Double spaced? Single spaced?

My rate would depend on the length of the recording.

0-5 minutes = $200
5-10 minutes = $400

Tom,

My minimum session fee is $400, which includes an hour of my time. (3 guesses from whom I learned this, and the first 2 don't count.) Given what you've described, my rate would be ... $400.

The number we agreed on is pretty close to yours, Bob & Jeff.

I went to V123 and Voices.com for some guidance on building a more accurate rate sheet. V123 is more specific but I think Voices.com's rate are a bit more accurate.

double spaced, 14 pt. Worth your time, affordable for a small company.
