It's up to you really, but I usually stay away from processing until after tracking. It's always easier to add something to the mix than to try and remove it.
For live broadcasting you'll always do it as part of the tracking process, but often a studio will take care of that during the mixing/mastering.
That said, there are some past projects I did where it suited me to have some compression and EQ on the way in. So that's what I did, but I also had a second track being recorded with the same stuff, minus the processing, just in case.
but I'm a paranoid. _________________ Voiceovers by Gregory Houser

Kasey,
FYI......When I click onto your link, I am directed to a free file hosting website, but can't find your audio file. |

If you scroll to the bottom of the page you will find it.
If you know of a better free file hosting, please let me know. _________________ Does life start at 40? |

Kasey,
You might also want to know that Deirdre (DB Cooper) has some space available for posting short demo clips and the like. _________________ Be well,

Thanks, but I wouldn't want to burn up the bandwith with something like this. If I had a nice professional demo maybe, but for this, I dont mind using a free service. _________________ Does life start at 40? |

www.putfile.com
A very nice, very easy to use site for what you are wanting to do.
In the past, those using Apple computers said they could not get the audio to load but I have been told that is no longer a problem, but since I use a pc, I have no way to try it for myself. |
