ordinarily, i'd chime in with my own offer to test. but evidently i've been hanging around you technically-diseased types way too long and now my own rig has been hit-and-miss. _________________ rowell gormon

Rowell....
I may call you... I'm at a standstill with my ISDN set-up process.
*My ISDN lines are in. I have every indication they're live.
*My Eicon Diva is recognized by my computer, and it's configured a la Dave Immer of DigiPhone.
*I'm using the AudioTX dongle.
*My Adtran NT-1 has a slowly blinking green "ready" light, and the red "error" light is on all the time.
*My guess is that the Adtran is not communicating with the Eicon.
I bought the Eicon on E-bay, and it's got a serial output, not a USB cable, so it must be old. I've connected it into a USB converter cable, then into my computer, and like I said, my computer recognized it, and configured it to a port, and I'm able to call it up under Modems in Control panel, and enter settings appropriately. It seems to be doing its duty.
I apologize that I have not poured through other threads on the VO-BB (like Donovan's) so I'll do that before I spout off here anymore.
I've got all the pieces.... just gotta get 'em talking to each other.

Dave this may not be your problem, but those serial-USB dealies don't always work well, even if they show up. Probably why they're called dealies. And not jobbers. _________________ Lou Zucaro

Thank you Dave,
Like you I have the pieces:
Adtran NT1 - Ready (green) light flashes quickly, error (red) solid.
Eicon Diva USB 2.01 says no "B" channels active... in the monitor section it shows the "D" or Data line as Green.
I think it is time to buy a "box".
Toodles

mr. c
i'll help if i can. a new chip for the isdn card inside my musicam arrived in today's mail. the tech guy said it might make my sporadic connections settle down. my hope is to pull the box out of its cluttered shelf space and carefully install the new chip this weekend.
good luck to us both. (and do check with donovan and bob souer. between those two and a savvy bell south guy bob knew, wendy's rig has been up and running flawlessly since last week.) _________________ rowell gormon
