So what do you guys sit on? I've been standing in my booth and since I've been doing some long form narration, it's tough on the feet. So I'm looking for something to sit on, but I can only find bar stool or decorative types. I'm looking for a more utilitarian/office kind.
What kind of stools or chairs do you all use? _________________ Jeff

Because I am old... well, you know the rest - I sit my rather large posterior (and growing) on a rather comfortable black leather executive chair.
My chair fits my studio which is designed to be seen as a professional executive office space.

Jeffrey there are some fairly nice drafting stools on ebay, I'm looking at getting one of those for my booth (still in the work also). I have a real nice ortho chair that is very supportive at my current DAW station but I'd like to get something more padded for my booth. Like everything else, depends on what you want to spend and what you want the stool to do.

Jeff,
I have a gamer's chair that I picked up at Circuit City several months ago after my larger than Frank's posterior broke my regular office char. It's about the same height as an office chair, but less bulky. _________________ Be well,

The thread was originally titled "Stool sample" but figured that wouldn't go over well.
So far the drafting stools on eBay are exactly what I'm looking for, thanks. Just didn't know that's what they were called. _________________ Jeff

That's what I have!
My back still hurts whether I sit or stand though. _________________ Caryn Clark... The Hip Chick Voice!

I have been using a lot of different seats... but nowadays I stick with my "pony chair" and my Herman Miller Aeron.
Not exactly 'el cheapo', but a sore back is way more expensive, especially when I have to be in them chairs for hours in a row when mixing commercials for instance. |

I don't know that I'd go that cheap Jeffrey. Think about your back and comfort for long form stuff. I'd try to go to an art supply or drafting supply store and see if you can try one. Make sure it's height adjustable as well.
Good luck |

if it sinks, you might be eating too much cheese. and i mean that in both ways--stool and stool.
good luck. i've been considering a new seat for a long time, but just haven't done a thing about it. lumbar support is key, so when your overstock.com (utah company!) chair ain't no good no mo', upgrade, babe. _________________ sitting at #8, though not as present as I'd like to be. Hello!
