Can someone give me the difference between PCM and ADPCM when saving wave files? Audition warns me that ADPCM is a lossy compression, but I get no such warning when using PCM.

Jeff,
I'm not Frank, but I do know that ADPCM is a lossy compression scheme. PCM just means pulse code modulation. WAV and AIFF are two popular PCM formats. _________________ Be well,

Jeffrey,
Correct, though you find very few that use the ADPCM compression scheme, relatively speaking. _________________ Be well,

Well, let me be Frank with you... what Bob said in both cases is correct.
ADPCM is often used in telephone systems due to the compressed format.
