I must have way too many names and numbers to remember. It's not Dave... it's Bill... Bill Elder.
Sorry, Bill... for some reason my circuits shorted out... I'm getting low on electrolyte.

TIP -If I were to play the submissions to an audience outside of the industry how would they be received? "In jokes" are fun but only if you know what and who is "in". |

I've listened to many of the VOG entries... something puzzles me. There appears to be a common thread. Why do we always envision the voice of God as coming from an echo chamber? You would think that God would speak from a perfectly tuned studio. I can understand the "deep throated", "La Fontainish" association... but I can't understand where the "hollow" accents originated.
I'd better quit now, before the ACLU files a suit against me.

Good to see people really are thinking!! I liked DB's piece and it reminded me of my favourite short story. Not a competiton entry. Feel free to download but as it's about a 5 minute piece I feel anyone on dial up will need to be patient.

Well I think the next contest should be the voice of Richard Simmons The winner gets a set of deal-a-meal cards. _________________ www.voiceoverdrew.com

THE WINNER!!!
I sent a TV producer friend called Greg all the clips with numbers so he didn't know names. He listened to them all and had fun doing it but I knew he was looking for a sound and an idea that would communicate with everyone and that would stay with him. He listened to every clip only once.
"Banksey boy
Clip 8 made a lasting impression. Original, bright, not voice
over, not an in joke....... "
Clip 8 was the Boss herself ...Congratulations DB xxx |
