Tragic! Children next. I don't have any because they clash with everything.

I'm thinking of renting Jazz out to miserable people as he appears to not recognise "miserable" as viable. he's probably right.

Philip,

Jazz's obvious love for life is one of the things I loved most about my visit. Thank you for reminding me of that bright and cheerful 24 hours. I needed it this morning.

brilliant! i am on it. expect a business plan in the next few days.

imagine all the childless people who never get to scream, "for the tenth time stop hitting your brother!" ... or, without this valuable service, never know the thrill of being awakened in the middle of the night with, "dad ... i think i'm gonna ... brrrragggguuuhhhhhhhh ..."

It would never work with cats!!

I'd rather see a rent-a-dog business than people who keep dogs locked in their apartments all day.
Some people shouldn't or can't have a dog— but want a dog's company when there is time to enjoy it. This seems like a good way to keep some super dogs from being euthanized.

All the dogs are available for adoption too.

I fostered a dog when I wasn't ready to commit. Six months with a German Shepherd with medical problems who had to be taken to his surgeon 3 times a week (70 miles away) for check-ups and bandage changes and then he was adopted by a veterinarian. Awesome outcome. Fostered another dog for two days and knew he was with us for life. He's the guy who chases sunbeams.

There was an article in the local paper about sheep ranches where you can send your dogs to camp to discover their inner shepherd. The dogs go home happy and better behaved. What a whoof!

Actually, I think I'd like a short-term rental monkey.

I could take it to certain parties and recording sessions just to make that lasting impression.....

hoo hoo,

B

Bruce,

For the right price, I'll be happy to be your rental monkey, assuming they make a suit big enough for me. Probably more of a rental gorilla in my case, now that I think about it. Laugh

I couldn't agree more with Deirdre. Until 5 years ago, I never had a dog. People used to accuse me of being a "dog-hater". I say I probably love animals more than many.

Pets require and deserve attention. When I was working radio full-time, I KNEW having a dog would be unfair to the dog. I believe that's far more humane than leaving it locked up in the house all day.

There are even dog lovers who don't seem to understand that. Those who do not should not have pets.

They have those out in my area as well. VERY cool for any of the shepherds or working breeds (I saw some Bouviers running the fields and having a grand old time herding livestock).
