Hello All

When it comes to VO work we all know it begins with the Microphone. Much thought goes into selecting the right one for your voice. No one microphone can clam the title as best of show. With that in mind, I just wanted to let this community know that I am now a dealer for Peluso Microphones. My goal is to serve the needs of the VO community.

I will be as price competitive as possible, but will not publicly discuses price. In the future, I will set up a web portal for my envisioned sale company. My thoughts are that I will focus on VO artist and be a systems integrator more so than a retailer.

BTW John Peluso for several years was a recording engineer in Chicago. His forte was production audio for radio, TV and film. His understanding of the VO business from the production side is substantial. It is because of his affinity for VO production that I was able to get permission to be price competitive to this special class of user.

Cool beans Ed! I was just looking into the Peluso line a little deeper yesterday. My current mic is Peluso related but not a Peluso. John is a great guy. I'll be getting hold of you before too long to talk about a new mic.

So, let the discussion begin..... Smile

Joking aside, I'm in the "shop for the new high end VO mic" process and I'm very interested in Peluso line of mics among other contenders.

From what I read over the various forums and on the Peluso site as well, the logical choice would be the Peluso 2247 "short body" mic since that mic is based from the broadcast version of the U47.

Someone have some kind of first hand experience ?

TIA,

Sven

Update:
Had a fantastic conversation with Ed about many things (he IS a neighbor, after all) including the "biz," those fabulous Pelusos and SaVoa.
He convinced me that there are some magical things happening at the little mic shop in the hills of Southern Virginia.
Ed has some great ideas for us VOBB'ers and with his backgrond and knowledge it should be outstanding.
He has me so excited about the Peluso possibilies that I'm thinking about grabbing a quart of Lexington Barbecue as a proper bribe, picking up Ed and heading for the hills of VA to hear for myself. Hey, that's a road-trip.
I'll let you know what we find out. Watch for updates from Ed.
(And the SoVoa deal is pretty cool too.)

"Bring it on" has been corrupted by a Washington DC resident. But in this case "Bring it on" means good Lexington style Q.

Mr. E we will arrange this thing soon.

Just wondering if you can also get Peluso parts not usually offered by Peluso. Specifically, I'm looking for a 2247 body and bottom cap only. Maybe a basket.

Some of the sellers sites listed on the Peluso site lists the U 47 at a bit over $2000 USD. That PBS feature was great. Good luck, Ed, with this. It's nice to have you in our corner.
