I'm having a real hard time getting work done today....time to make supper and there's still work in my 'to do' pile. I subscribe to Banksey's 'hot desk' theory (at least I was told it came from you Banksey) - get everything done NOW....maybe it's daylight savings...I'm just having a hard time focusing today.

Oh well...

Moe,

It's affecting me here in Nashville, too.

Jack Squat appeared in Indianapolis, too. Sat right down and wouldn't leave.

He's probably waiting to go to a museum somewhere nearby. Wink

Today seemed to fly right by for me. Actually had a job this morning. Local, too. About half mile away local. Then I had childcare issues for #3 spring up at the last minute. Got it taken care of just in time, made it to the job a few minutes early. Done in 20 minutes, even got paid.
Still feels like it should only be about 10:30 am to me.

Or Six Flags.

For me, today was wasted by a seriously annoying bug in the Windows Update feature that won't allow it to update various versions of the .Net framework. Ugh.

Well, I seemed to get thrown off with the time change. Only an hour, but boy did it put a wrench in things.

Woke up at 8:45 instead of the normal 7 - 7:30... started to read email and do some auditions, then an old college friend called that I hadn't talked to in about 6 years... before I knew it, I was still in my pjs and it was 11:15.

I still haven't caught up.

today was absolutely dead around here. even the bill collectors weren't calling.

so, rather than doing what i usually do (fall asleep in my chair at the computer), i got out a dvd i'd purchase many moons ago from mj lalo on self-marketing and treated it like a morning seminar...notes and all.

felt good. good enough to get in the cruiser and go find one of the books she recommended (brag! how to toot your own horn without blowing it.....love the title).

i don't know how much short-term good i accomplished, but at least i don't have a sore neck from being asleep in the chair all day!

i recommend mj's dvd, by the way. it's an encouraging mix of reinforcing things i thought i knew, plus some solid step-by-step how to stuff i've been aching for.

if tomorrow's schedule follows today's, i'll be "in class" with connie terwilliger's new cd from the Voice2007 presentation she did.

Time change definitely got a hold of me this weekend. I was up Saturday night until 2:00 AM (watched the cable box change to 3:00) then realized I had to be up at 7:00 AM to meet with a friend and go to a Hamfest.

I did get some stuff done today though.

Tired, but it's been a good day. Accepted my first Surepay gig through voices.com.

The kids were a royal PITA this morning. They were tired and wanted to go back to bed. You should've heard all the whining. From them, too.

Was that a ham-handed attempt to call forth your Sass-ige King?!

Yeah- something is in the air. The time change REALLY got me this year! It happened between classes at the Bob Bergen weekend in Atlanta- I showed up Sunday dragging and red eyed (but still ready to learn!). Passed out post-class and missed a meet-up with another VO. Hm, hated that. Today I did a quick recording in the hotel before driving back to Charlotte, then another quick gig upon arriving home.

I perked up this evening when my husband and I went and saw the U2 3D movie- that was FANTASTIC!!!! I highly recommend it if you like the band.

This time change thing should be outlawed! I like my job too much to be dragging around!
