This will mean the most to those from the Pittsburgh area.
Myron Cope, the voice of the Steelers for over 30 years, passed away today. He had a very unique voice. I guarantee no one ever said to him "you should be on radio!". But he was. From 1970 to 2004 he was the man every Steeler fan listened to on the radio. He is the inventor of the "Terrible Towel". His catch phrases will go on forever. He was inducted into the National Radio Hall of Fame in 2005.
Goodbye Myron. My Terrible Towel is right here beside me.
As Myron would say, "Yoi!" _________________ Try to imagine a world where there is no such thing as hypothetical situations.

Bob,
Our family enjoyed Myron's unique approach to broadcasting for all 8 years that we lived in Pittsburgh (from the start of 1994 through the end of 2001) and noted his passing a bit earlier today when my oldest son Eric called me to say he'd just learned this news.
May he rest in peace. _________________ Be well,
