I will be very interested to see how this really works.

Take a look at Comrex's BRICK technology. Zephyr's is the same, but different. Both are simply adaptive jitter buffers; NAT transversal, STUN, TURN, ICE, and HTTP Tunneling, QOS schemes, and STUN/SIP P2P protocols using RTSP for transport of audio media.
Some of the new IP codecs offer remote configuration, none the "big boys toys" use JABBER or SIP/SIMPLE for chat, Video chat, IM presence, or ILS support.
And D.B. said it right, this technology is expensive.

Now you know what I deal with everyday... and you thought you knew English or is it eng-rish?
This moth I am learning more 'forensic talk" for a little project I am working on creating. Then there is VO talk to master, any know any hints in this area?

When I know I can send a portable version of one of these (or one of the other portable IP codec devices) out in the field with one of my VO clients, and know FOR SURE that it will work when plugged into ANY broadband network connection, then the cost will start to justify itself. Can it make it's way through a Proxy, for example? Cell phone data transfer has not proven to be reliable enough, and with enough bandwidth in enough cities, to make studio quality audio transmission a reality.
Until then, it's Source Connect on an Ethernet Internect connection. The cost to "dabble" in SC is what I think makes it viable for so many, and in turn helps the developers improve and adapt the software. For now it's justs "wait and see".
