Today, I finally had the chance to show off to my boy. Who knew he was Simon Cowell? Oh Lord |

I wish you could have seen Major the Dog when those cries came blasting out of my speakers. He came tearing downstairs and cocked his head almost sideways.
You still have a huge fan base, no matter what your progeny might think. |

Hah! That was great!
I'll have to see if I can get a copy of the clip...today I took my dog to a local studio with me while I recorded a few short lines for Raggs (a studio that encourages folks to bring good dogs, I wasn't being rude ) I was holding her in my lap while recording. After the first line of 'Hi, I'm Razzles' my dog lets out a long howl/bark type thing. Everyone laughed, and my dog got to spend the rest of the session in the lobby- hah! It was a nice reminder why I never take her with me on VO sessions!
I'll remember this clip, Dan-o, when it comes time for our own little ones! _________________ Threadjackers local 420

Dan,
You do indeed have a fan base. The base of said base is right here in Charlotte, NC. (And for good measure I sing bass in the church choir, when I have the time to join them.) _________________ Be well,

Nice pair of lungs on this kid, huh? It just goes to show that even a baby can rock on a MKH-416.
As for the Tennyson, recently I was hired to do a series of biographical summaries of the lives of famous poets and other historical figures. I have only recorded three poets, so far. The others were Shel Silverstein and Dorothy Parker. The rhythms of Parker and Silverstein were rather simple and easy to follow. Both were rather humorous with their writing making the scripts a delight to read. However, with a few of the selections I was given to read, Tennyson's work was quite moving. The following lines are from a collection called The Princess. It was written a few years after his first son was delivered stillborn:
As thro' the land at eve we went,
And pluck'd the ripen'd ears,
We fell out, my wife and I,
O, we fell out, I know not why,
And kiss'd again with tears.
And blessings on the falling out
That all the more endears,
When we fall out with those we love
And kiss again with tears!
For when we came where lies the child
We lost in other years,
There above the little grave,
O, there above the little grave,
We kiss'd again with tears.
It's obvious, now, why this piece stayed with me. |
