This danged infernal "Small Business Network" calls me every other week.
216 839-2146
I can see on various 'who called me?" web message groups that this ONE NUMBER shows up all over the place.
I have been on the DO NOT CALL list since it first came out, and I re-registered about 1/2 way through last year.
I have registered a complaint 3 times now.
HOW THE HECK do I get these blasted jerkoffs to stop calling me?
The call is machine-generated and has a recording when you pick up the phone. It even leaves the recording on my answering machine. _________________ DBCooperVO.com

I'm not a lawyer, but I believe the Do not call list does not apply to businesses. In other words, if you're a business, they can call you. _________________ Jeff

It's a long shot, but have you tried calling your phone company to see if they can block that number? _________________ Jeff

Wellll....I'll relate what just happened to me late last year and see if you find a solution in there. I kept getting a pre-recorded message that simply said, "we have important financial information....if you would like to speak with an operator press 1". I ignored. They kept calling and clogging up the answering machine. Finally I pressed 1. Turns out, they were a collection agency looking for someone with a similar last name to mine. I guess they just call every one in the book and hope the right person answers. Since the person I was connected to was just a part-time answerer, she couldn't provide me with much. But, I pressed hard and told her that there was no one by that name here and that if they continued to call I was going to report them to the authorities, federal and state, for harrassment and whatever. It's a new year, and so far no calls. So, I guess I'd suggest that you try to get as much information about them as possible, and then contact them threatening legal action. Mebbee it might work. These guys keep trying to stay one step ahead of whatever obstacle we throw their way.... _________________ Brett

luckily, that doesn't happen to me (the name's rare ... and i pay my bills!)
i get regular calls from strategic marketing agency, ALWAYS asking me about subscribing to the local rag (which i ALREADY do) or to inquire about the delivery or what-have-you. half the time, there's no one there when i answer the phone ("hi, this is diane ...") or they ask for diane, naturally after i've declared myself to said caller.
one day, after getting a few calls from them, the last one being a sort of recording or something (that i couldn't make out, frankly), i saw AGAIN they were calling, only caller i.d. said salt lake tribune. i answered as per usual, ready for a FIGHT! alas, it was an old friend who asked me to the symphony! and it's been wine and roses since, swear ta dawg (from both the marketing agency and the ... uh ... friend ) _________________ sitting at #8, though not as present as I'd like to be. I let the hubby answer these types of calls... he generally just acts pretty obnoxious, asking stupid questions, etc. and acts really really dumb... they eventually hang up and don't call back. _________________ Caryn Clark... The Hip Chick Voice!

i think i might have mentioned this before, but what you need is to put an SIT (Special Information Tone) tone at the beginning of your outgoing message.
Read more about it here.
I keep telling people about this but for some reason people don't want to "confuse" their friends or family... uh - cell phone dude. Anyway - once I put this on my home machine/voicemail, EVERYONE/EVERYTHING stopped calling within about 14-20 days.
PEACE.
