I can't believe I just watched "A Charlie Brown Christmas" for the umptieth time. But I watched it this time with the ears of a VO enthusiast. I had looked up additional info about the making of the cartoon, but I couldn't find anything about residuals... or if those kids were ever paid a decent amount. Does anyone have any knowledge about the residuals paid for that show? _________________ "Bailey"

I caught the show tonight as well. I'm sure the kids voicing the characters were given some sort of compensation but I bet it wasn't near what they should have got. But, could you imagine if they got some dough each time that show aired. That would be amazing.
The original is great, but I like what the cast of Scrubs did to the show as well.

I am a huge Charlie Brown fan. The Christmas episode being my favorite of all.....the old one from 1965, that is. The others do not stack up as well IMHO. The voices are the best on the older ones.
Up until a few years ago, my wife and I would have a Charlie Brown Christmas party and invite all our friends to watch it on DVD....along with the Christmas Vacation movie with Chevy Chase.....and The Grinch. I even still have the homemade Charlie Brown shirt I made. Yellow polo with the black zig zag...done with a clothing marker.
Yeah, I get into things too much sometimes. Makes life more fun that way though.

And, at these parties, did you drink something sassy everytime the word "who" was said (in the case of Grinch)?
I was never invited to those parties... I only heard about them. Seriously.
These were my faves... they were almost always on the night of my birthday, or right around my birthday.... love these, and still watch them today.

Caryn, check your local listings. Charlie Brown may be repeated on ABC on Dec. 3rd. _________________ Mary |

December 6th... That's a popular birthdate in my family:
1. My Brother
2. His wife
3. My wife's grandmother
4. My cousin
5. and now.. you!
I mean, I know the chances are one in 365, but still... _________________ Greg Littlefield

Wait a second...
Are you absolutely SURE that all those you listed are NOT the same person?? I mean...have you ever seen them all together in the same room before??
It's a stab in the dark, but I didn't know if this would end up to be a Scooby-Doo/Astro situation.... _________________ We have nothing to fear but fear itself.

I'm Greg's cousin. Oh no... wait.... we don't live in the right state for that.
Oh yeah, it's definitely Dec. 6... St. Nicholas Day. It's a good birthdate to have... obviously in good company!! I have a friend who has the same birthday as well. Hmmm.... what date is 10 mos. prior to Dec. 6????? (Though, I was born 2-3 weeks late, supposedly).
Bob, so we're both Sagittarians! Very nice! You were almost a Christmas baby! _________________ Caryn Clark... The Hip Chick Voice!

Caryn,
Yes, almost...though since I was also about 3 weeks late, my mother was extremely grateful I wasn't a Christmas baby. _________________ Be well,
