I really had a difficult time determining whether or not to post this - I mean it took all of three one-thousandths of a second to make the choice. So, here goes:
Cruising eBay is almost always good for a laugh; one never knows what one will find... so in an effort to stop some boredom, I typed in the word "voiceover". Hit Enter. Then started scrolling down the list...
The first headline which made me laugh read: Commercial, Web Flash, On Hold, eBook, Voiceover!!!. The Buy It Now price: $9.95 USD.
The next, and this guy sounded better than I thought... headline: Professional Commercial Voiceover - Hear My Demo. Price: $24.99
O.K. I am not one who usually gets on my soapbox over this kind of thing, but please ask yourself; "What does this type of advertising do for our industry?"
Your comments are welcome.

Absolutely nothing. But I suspect this type of person doesn't really care about the industry. _________________ Jeff

In the end, one who "shops" for voice services on eBay will get EXACTLY what they pay for: Fast and Cheap. Always just those two. _________________ Greg Littlefield

Actually, those guys are the elite e-bayers. A few months ago, there was a $5.99 guy.
I ordered a spot for my web site, of course, and sent him a script which I never thought he'd read.
But he did. Same-day turnaround. And it wasn't horrible:

He did pull the ad a few days later, though. Probably took my $5.99 and retired to that villa in Spain. |

Oh dear.
I want to ask if that's really a guy from eBay, really, truly— but like with Santa Claus— I'd rather just believe. _________________ DBCooperVO.com

Do you think if I put my rates as the Buy It Now price, I will get any takers... it's all in the numbers, what ya think? Come on, be truthful...
Did anyone notice how there is always the illusion, then the truth is in the upgrades...?
