This is directed to photographers who need both 'artistic' and 'technical' skills but I thought it is also relevant for voice talkers - especially those with home studios.

Enjoy

We had fun with the spinning lady test last week. She was definitely spinning clockwise for me, but if I began to read the text above or below it, she changed direction & went left. If I sang scales, she changed again & went right. If I counted aloud, she went left. I had her sweeping her foot back & forth right, left, right.

I obviously have too much time on my hands. Wink

Counterclockwise for me - until I got curious and decided to try and make it seem as though she were spinning clockwise. It took a little effort, and then she did appear to be spinning clockwise. Then, with a bit of effort, I could make it seem as though she went back to counter clockwise.

Wowsers! Different people looking at the same thing yet not able to agree on what is happening - there has got to be some kind of profound message in there somewhere. Well, somebody else is gonna hafta figger it out. I'm too busy trying to get her phone number.....

That was fun!
I had her switching back and forth as well ... got a little freaky when I had her upper half turning clockwise and her lower half turning counter-clockwise. hehehe...

Actually, if you look at the shadow of her foot sweeping and the source of light being from the other side of her (so that the shadow falls toward us), she can only be rotating counter-clockwise. I think it would be better if they took the shadow out for that reason.

... now ... try to figure out which way she's spinning while you're also rolling on the floor watching the screen! Wink Shocked Barf

I saw her bouncing up and down on the mud flaps of a semi going down the highway.

I started to flirt with her. She kicked me clock-wise.

I definitely saw counter-clockwise, which indicates left-brain dominance...then when did I suck so badly at Algebra and Geometry in high school and excel in English, Social Studies and Foreign Languages?...go figger Rolls Eyes

And yet despite that, I can only see her turning clockwise. No matter how hard I try, I can't see her turning counter-clockwise. This supposed right-brain dominance seems to clash with my fairly strong proclivity for scripting and tool development (which I've been pretty deeply immersed in -- and enjoying! -- at work for over a month), so I'm really not sure what to make of it. Shocked

Do this. As she rotates, watch that leg and "imagine" it behind then "imagine" it in front in the opposite way you are naturally seeing her turn. I am able to do this and switch her spinning back and forth at will.

I can control her! Muuuaaahhh ha haha ha ha!

I could only see her moving clockwise until I started reading the text below her and then all of a sudden, in my peripheral vision, she started moving counter-clockwise! Freaky!!
