You need to get the attention of the decision maker and most tend to be like the duty sergeant in an old black and white British Police drama - Been there, done that, seen everything!
He opens an envelope and finds a CD with nifty art work and the slogan "Smooth as silk, warm chocolate on a summer breeze in the fall - The voice of Arty Schartwzxywictz". He breathes a heavy sigh and then goes back to reading his newspaper.
From day 1 to day (in my case) 6875 your approach should be; I know what you would bring to MY party but need to discover if I will bring anything to yours. |

Do you do background research to find out or are you simply referring to their response to your audition providing that feedback? It seems to me that you'd want to know before auditioning, if you could ... but how??
