13 grand plus production and you can be a thirty minute weekly Cable Star.

I'll say! To read books!

By the way, to read about the strike (and politics, show business, comics, cartoons and cartoon voice overs, comedy and....) take a look at writer Mark Evanier's blog.

The lovely and talented Mary (MCM here on the boards) provided me with a link to a regularly updated blog, with lots of strike news:

http://www.deadlinehollywooddaily.com/

According to one tidbit in there from Monday (I think), it's possible that my big videogame gig could be pushed back even further. Looks like the related film's screenwriter is among those striking, and any story delays on that movie will almost certainly impact game production. Oy vey.

I hope they win! I hear they're striking for DVD sales and anything distributed online.

My first thought was the studios are fighting it because if the writers win, it'll set a precedent for other artists/talent.

Bob, I think there are several precedents. I hope they win, too.

Yes indeedy it will. SAG will get what the writers get, or not. They're all dealing with the same Producers Alliance. The SAG TV/Theatrical Agreement comes up next summer.
