Found out a while back that the term "earworm" is used for when you have a song in your head you can't get rid of.
For the last two days it's been Golden Earring's "Twilight Zone" over and over and over and over and over and over and.....well, you get the idea. _________________ We have nothing to fear but fear itself.

EGADS! For a second there, I thought you were going to tell us you had a worm in your ear. Have you seen the show on TV where the doctor is trying to get a bug out of woman's ear, and she's screaming hysterically and wrything (sp?) all over the place? It's horrible. When I read your title, I immediately thought of that.
No song in my head... I'm glad you don't have a worm in your ear... just a song! _________________ Caryn Clark... The Hip Chick Voice!

My wife and I use this as a form of torture. We each know songs that drive the other crazy, so given the appropriate moment we will start singing/humming/whatever a song the other hates just to plant the "tune of torture". It's all in fun. _________________ Try to imagine a world where there is no such thing as hypothetical situations.

Viva Italia Jeffers!
Reminds me of 1952's "That's Amore" - but the cool 1999 live version on Canadian folk rockers' Spirit of The West's "Greatest Hits" album.

Thank you, Tom. That was exactly what I thought of, too.
There are far, far worse things that can get stuck in one's head than Golden Earring.

Torture for my lovely wife is humming or singing Christmas tunes anytime other than Christmas. She swears she can't get them out of her head. When she finally yields to my evil plans (like that ever happens) then I sing something completely different to get "Let it Snow" out of her head.
Sigh,

You know, there are some benefits to being almost completely disconnected from pop culture. Not many of course, but this would be one of them. And when I get the first movement of Mozart's Symphony #40 stuck in my head for a few days, it's actually a rather pleasant experience. _________________ Be well,
