Hello everyone...

First post. Forgive me if this has been covered in the past. I searched and couldn't find anything relevant.

Anyone know of a good de-esser that works with GarageBand? I'm on an iMac running OSX10.4.9 and my old de-esser (spitfish) isn't suppported under the new OS.

I use Pro-Tools for actual sessions, but for auditions and my podcast I just stick to GarageBand and could use some help with my annoying "s".

Thanks for any assistance.

Best, Darbi

Ditto what Diane said.

Wish I could help. Somehow I manage to do the (VERY) basics in Protools, and have a Mac and don't even know how to use Garageband. (Stop wincing, please. I promise it hurts me even more to write it.)

Nonetheless, welcome!

I'm not a MAC user but look into "Channel Strip"

Darbi,

Welcome. I believe you'll enjoy it here. Anyhoo, I believe the Focusrite channel strips have a built-in de-esser....and I also believe they have 2 flavors from which to choose. (boy, not ME...I'm a professional! I'm not gonna end a sentence with a preposition!)

Good luck with your quest.
