Yeah Liz, just a bit though. I keep a tidy house and don't like things strewn about.

George you're absolutely right re: tearing...sorry about that. The burn-in susceptibility of plasma TVs is what I meant to write, but I goofed...thanks for correcting it!
Re: watching an HD DVD on an HD TV, I picked up a PS3 right before Christmas so I could watch a couple of Blu-Ray movies on my DLP and let me tell you it was unbefrickinlievable...so amazing. Not only the picture quality, but the color depth. It was seriously the most amazing color I've ever seen in a moving image.
I couldn't justify the 600 clams, though, and returned it...I felt a wee bit smarmy doing so but I tried to justify it by telling myself that my return was gonna make some kid's Christmas. Even now, I'm not sure I'm buyin' my own story. Now, if it had been a Wii...
But back to subject...I haven't watched HD-DVD on it, just Blu-Ray, but as I said, it's quite the treat. _________________ Lou Zucaro

There is no need to fear new technology. Just do what I do: I get in my De Soto and drive over to the Lafayette Electronics store on Main St. and check out whatever new televisions Muntz is selling these days. |

"Mindrot...rabbit ears." Reminds me of a symposium on media panel I was on once, and a question was asked, "what do think of sex & violence on TV?" I replied, "It's OK...but the cable-box gets in the way."

We bought a Wega several years ago that is HD ready (without the tuner.) We can use the cable box HD tuner. It is literally an HD monitor. Check the specs. They may have sold them both ways, _________________ Gregory Best
