My 10 year old daughter's teacher suggested she do an extra project. It had to be on a Biome.
Well, since Dad is well versed in one specific biome and a video guy, it seemed natural right?
She wrote it. I helped her do a rough storyboard. We then tracked down some images, and I took her into the woods and left a trail of bread crumbs, not really. She shot most of the tape with some guidance, I did tape a few scenes, many of which wound up on the cutting room floor, and then I recorded her voice over and did a quick edit with her guidance.
Here's the result
It was a fun father/daughter project. I'm proud of the job she did and the teacher loved it.
gotta say she did have an issue with "coniferous" we had some meat eating trees for a while. |

Thanks all,
just wish we had had more time to create, so I could have actually taught her to edit.. soon though. I have my old editing setup int he family room, have to get them up to speed on that.
Liz, there is a LOT of history buried in those woods. (it's funny, your comment is very similar to one of the lines in my documentary!) |

This was really amazing. I think I hear the emergence of a narrator who may some day take over your family business! What an excellent job. _________________ Bobbin Beam

True, I made mine with bear skins and stone knives. I've helped my older daughter build a project on Jetties (Groins), dioramas etc. I seem to get assigned all the artsy stuff.
This time, since the stars aligned I suggested a video to her, and she was gung ho.
Thanks for all the views, |
