I got the Casio CW-75 in December. Prints nicely, but the text size gets pretty small if you want to fit an email or URL on the disc, or even a track listing...

My nearby Staples had an Epson R220 on clearance for a mere $20. I was so tempted to pick it up until I found that it would require nearly $70 worth of ink just to fill it up since each cartridge is a different color.

Actually with R-200 or 220.. 6 sets of ink cartridges is only $30.00 +- on eBay.

Crap! My head is spinning reading this thread....maybe it's the wine I had tonight. Thanks for all the great info. I'll need to come back and take notes.

Really? Maybe it's the model (not familiar with it). My R320 costs about half that to refill. For that cost, considering how many CDs you get, a $70 price point would make it cheaper to send the work out to have done.

Here is a link to 5 Sets on eBay.:

http://cgi.ebay.com/30-ink-for-Epson-R200-R220-R300-R320-RX500-RX600-R620_W0QQitemZ280101398272QQihZ018QQcategoryZ16200QQrdZ1QQssPageNameZWD1VQQcmdZViewItem

I figure with this cost I print for full color CD-s with the disc included for approximately $0.47 each.

I average a disc every four minutes. Yes, it is slow but, hey, it works and looks great.

Sounds like a good solution for you, Frank. As I said, I was on the fence about buying it. For those who don't want to upgrade their printer, these CD labels are top notch. I use them and love them.

PLUS when you buy with the affiliate link I posted, you support the VO-BB.com!

note to self: Encourage DB to sign up for some affiliate programs....

The link you posted shows ink compatible with the R220 in 24 packs for $53.86. Is this ink suspect in quality or did you not see this on the Meritline site?

To be fair, I didn't price off-brand carts. These were Epson brand off the shelf at Staples.

To bring this back... Frank mentioned a cheap way of laminating, what is it?

Also, it was suggested that I spray a thin coat of hairspray on the discs as a kind of bootleg lamination... any thoughts? Supposedly, it's no longer flammable after it dries.

And Vance, what's up with the Sanjaya and pink shirts??? Gasp
