Meantime, in central Utah, where inhabitants are in near-constant denial that this is a desert and precipitation is good, I'm rejoicing. Bring. It. On.
...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 AM MDT THURSDAY..
THIS WARNING IS FOR THE WASATCH RANGE AND WESTERN UINTA MOUNTAINS OF NORTHERN UTAH.
TOTAL NEW SNOW ACCUMULATION OF 8 TO 18 INCHES IS EXPECTED IN THESE MOUNTAIN AREAS THROUGH THURSDAY MORNING.
LOCALLY HIGHER AMOUNTS NEAR 2 FEET ARE POSSIBLE ALONG THE WEST SLOPES OF THE WASATCH RANGE ABOVE 7000 FEET.
A STRONG COLD FRONT WILL SWEEP THROUGH THE NORTHERN UTAH MOUNTAINS THIS MORNING. PERIODS OF HEAVY SNOW WILL ACCOMPANY THE FRONT THIS MORNING THEN TURN SHOWERY IN THE AFTERNOON. SNOW SHOWERS WILL INCREASE TONIGHT WITH ADDITIONAL HEAVY SNOWFALL EXPECTED. THE SNOW WILL TAPER OFF EARLY THURSDAY MORNING.

I am SO jealous!!!!!!!!!!!!! Spring Skiing Rocks!
Half OUR town is in the flood zone & underwater (luckily we didn't buy a house in the flood zone!)...people here are still in shelters....it really has been devastating here....of course when you cover the state in blacktop, condos & malls, what do you expect?...sorry.....
