That's about how it looks for Downeast/Midcoast, too. Not quite the show we got last week, but still... It's April already!
And another thing, how many VA's have one of these on their wish lists? _________________ Greg Littlefield

Greg,
I have a little larger "gas" version. In Utah we need it. Great for powering a mic when you need it.

My former employer (where my web server is) has a HUGE diesel generator that's about the size of a small dumpster outside their building to keep the data center up in case of Texas Weather (lightning storms, mostly). It's becoming quite apparent that a generator should be a consideration for if/when we finally get a house up here. So far, we've had good luck with our power company. _________________ Greg Littlefield

The meteorologist I'm shacked up with here says April will be the coldest we've seen in a long time. There is a possibility that we could beat records that are 113 years old!

Maybe he should get an inconvenient sweater and bundle up under the covers while using an inconvenient space heater. I just hope it doesn't start one of those inconvenient house fires. _________________ Lou Zucaro

I guess this would be a good time to post the 7-Day forecast for San Diego:
High’s in the Low 70's... Lows in the High 40's
Sunny... sunny...sunny... enough of that stuff... I don't want to bore you.
But we may have partly cloudy skies over the weekend. And you never know... if the power goes out, we may need a generator to run the air conditioner.

I have a 5700 watt gas generator. I bought it a couple of years ago just before what was supposed to be a BAD hurricane season. Fortunately, my area wasn't directly targeted and I haven't had to use it for anything like that....yet. |

look on the bright side: we had a really warm spell in march - which caused everything to bloom. now it's cold again which = no grapes for the wine, no peaches ... maybe no apples. bad, bad economic news. you're lucky you're still buried in winter ... we'll be buying a lot of juice from the northeast this year.
small condolence, though, i'm sure.
stay warm! _________________ "i know philip banks": todd ellis

Deirdre,
So I'm guessing you haven't had to cut the grass as often as I have this year. _________________ Try to imagine a world where there is no such thing as hypothetical situations.

Denver is expecting 6-12 inches of snow starting sometime tonight into friday.
And I see the forcast for San Diego and I can't tell you how happy I am that I'm going.. yeee haaww
I work for Sun Microsystems out here, we have a 1 million sq ft. campus, with about 8 buildings.. it's impressive, but each building has 1-3 of the big deisel generators in 15x30x15 brick buildings in the parking lots.. of course we need that out here on occasion. We also have the largest data centers for the company here as well. It's amazing when they kick them off for testing. LOUD. |

It's gray & rainy & just plain YUCKY here in North Jersey.
We have a small Generac Generator @ our small place in Upstate NY...have had it since 2000 and it has YET to be fired up!...of course that could be 'cause we have yet to get the connectors & rod installed!
