I'm either losing my edge because I'm busy being busied or I believe I'm losing my edge. No matter, something has to be done about it.
My friend Louise has decided to get back into amateur dramatics, musicals and dance, something she did for years before the arrival of 3 sons.
"Do you want to try something a little different? I asked
"What?"
"Try voice acting. Just for fun. If you enjoy learning, keep doing it, if not, never mind."
"Yes! That sounds really exciting!"
An unselfish act on my part? Not really. As I teach (forgive the presumption) or Louise learns, I'll re-learn far more or find new ways of doing things. Between jobs today the apprentice had lesson one and I feel much better already. you never know, I may even get my edge back. |

I've never found teaching to be a bad thing... whenever I've taught people anything, I found myself learning and better understanding the subject manner because I was forced to look at it from a different perspective. _________________ Voiceovers by Gregory Houser

Sometimes I like to school people. Then I really get in trouble. _________________ sitting at #8, though not as present as I'd like to be. Hello!

I find that teaching helps me become very succint in describing my process.
Having words to wrap around an idea is a wonderful way to keep track of it. _________________ DBCooperVO.com

I often dip into my pool of former students for voices. I know what they can do and I'm impressed by their training credentials.
