Many friendly "hands across the water" welcomes to you, Soren Arnsbo!

I have to think Soren is a big player if the board "owner/mod" introduces them. I'm sure Don LaFontain wouldn't write his own messages. The pitch would be too deep to read anyway.

Banksey...I agree with you. Before you come to a hasty conclusion have you considered that computers where he lives may have monitors and a mouse but no keyboard?

If he REALLY existed I would've had an email or a letter from his lawyer by now.

Have you all been reading Brodie Castle's book - "The people who live in my head - Character developement" ? Don't try out techniques on here. There's probably a businessman in Aarhus (yes I know I made that uHobo Happy called Soren who has suddenly noticed his name on here and is wonder what on earth this site has to do with Glud, Marstrand packaging of Limfjord.

I let him know about this thread, but I got a Danish "Out of Office until April 10" memo.
So. . . we'll have to wait and see if he really exists. I saw somebody who fits his description in Vegas, but I didn't actually MEET him, so he might've been a hologram.

Deebs, I talked with him at V.O.I.C.E.
I studied in Denmark (denamrk??) while in college so had to ask him all about the current affairs in the social welfare state, and practice my (terrible, rusty, tough-to-comprehend) Danish language "skillzz."
He's real, selvfølgelig!!

Welcome aboard my brother from another country. May your days here be filled with fun and may we help each other move into the upper echelons of voiceover success where jobs flow like milk and honey and Brinks trucks back into our driveways each day to drop of our sacks of cash.

Talk about not looking.

I'm still tired from the trip.
I'm catching up on all the laundry that accumulated while I was gone and am trying to get my audio, photo and written work archived. Burn to DVD, I say!
I'm losing my mind.

Hello All VO-BB'ers

Thanks for the very nice welcome from many of you. I had to take a couple of hours to think before I could write anything in this post. Banksey (who also happens to be one of my beloved UK talents) got me thinking...do I really exist...Or am I just a hologram?

I'll give you the answer in the end of this post (nice cliffhanger, huh?)

I want to thank you all for such a good time in Vegas and for a very nice conference. Actually I'm still in Vegas. My girlfriend came over here, when the conference ended and we have had a blast the last week. Going home tomorrow morning.

One of our great experiences was seeing a certain HOT anchor man on TV yesterday. I was jumping up and down in my hotel room bed and cheering, everytime he was on. My girlfriend thought that was a bit odd, but I have learnt that that's the way you do it over here. (that's the American way.... I told her Smile

Dave: Thank you very much for the advice on Sam Ash Music store - I went up buying a USB mic, and recorded 7 voice overs and a casting-audition from my hotel room (with a blanket over my head), so the money was well spent. Unfortunately my girlfriend has been dragging me around in Vegas to this and that the last week, so we didn't get a chance to get together with you this time.

Diane: Unfortunately you failed pronouncing "Rødovre", so you'll have to do another year in Denmark Smile

Ohh... and yes- I have read the now 34 pages long thread about the conference. Geez...if every thread is going to be that long, I'm going to be spending very much time in here.

And.. by the way... I'm just a hologram...tasting like a Danish!

Liz (and Soren)...

My thoughts exactly. I see you have at least a few US English male voice talents on your site. Any room for more?
