You are all being far too kind. It was and is truly AWFUL!! Somewhere in midwest America a man walks around his home town with his head hung low. Dogs bark at him, cats hiss and small children openly laugh. Elderly people cross the street as he approaches. Curtains in the street where he lives remain closed as if to shut out the shame.
Should you spy a young yet broken man weeping silently on a park bench do not think to harshly of him for he is now alone, his career in ruins.
"I beseech ye in the bowels of Christ think it possible that ye should be mistaken" - Oliver Cromwell (who shows remarkable perception for one who as far as I'm aware never met Ben.)

I wouldn't worry too much about the "thriller/horror movie" bent to the read. It's the current trend, and most trailers for action movies don't give away the happy ending (if any).
Plus, if I remember the advertising for the Hollywood film "The Bible", the tag line on many ads was "You've read the book, now see the movie". The intended audience certainly knows the ending to this story.

Again, I am not sure I asked for a critique on this one Philip. I think I would have put this in the "critique" section if I wanted to be openly ridiculed/coached, even if in a joking mannor. Just wanted to share my work and share a project where my friend, whom is an incredibly talented artist, uses his giftings in a unique way during Easter.
Everyone else, thanks for the kind words....and for refraining if you thought it was a bad piece. _________________ Ben

Ben,
If you were genuinely offended or upset by my comments which were not intended to be taken seriously I apologise without reservation. |
