...to do anything OTHER THAN voiceovers, what would it be? By that, I mean your other dream job to do full-time.
Mine would be playing flag-football. I love it. I'll admit I'm mildly obsessed. I play in a league as well as in pick-up games on the weekends. I was also considering the "tan lotion guy" for Hawaiian Tropic...but figured I'd choose something that wouldn't cause a domestic disturbance.
What would your OTHER dream job be? _________________ Donovan

OK- this is just fun! Voice acting really was my dream- and I went after it late last year. No regrets whatsoever!!!!
However, if I was to pick another job and wasn't worried about income...I'd either be a professional gardener or a professional scrapbooker.
I would have said photographer- but that job is very stressful!
Man- would I love to spend everyday surrounded by growing vegetables and flowers all while cutting up some paper!!!
Uh, did I just write that?? Sorry _________________ Threadjackers local 420

I play in a minimum of four softball leagues every year, sometimes more if I can find teams that will have me. If somebody would pay me to do that, I'd do it forever. I probably will anyway. |

I'd say a Whitehat.
No, wait... already do that.
Work on TV.
Nope... been there.
Got it! Professional parent. Corny, but I'd like the idea of actually watching my kids grow up.
Now I just need to find some kids... and a spouse. _________________ Voiceovers by Gregory Houser

Heh...I kinda went the reverse route. I looked at my full-time job (animation), and asked myself, "If I could get paid to do anything besides animate, what would it be?" And that's how I ended up here. _________________ Justin S. Barrett

At one point I thought being in the computer industry was a dream job, but the truth is my love had always been voice over. It looks like I might have to rejoin the computer world again at least for a while, but never again will I do something I loathe and be ok with it. |

Like Yoda...TV, been there. 'Got 3 kids, all teens, so doing the PARENT thing, too.
I've always thought the guys who had the dream jobs were those who drove a brand-new car for a week, then wrote a column on it for some periodical. Then: another new car, etc. What a kick!
I'd probably forget my garage-door-opener every time, though.

I'd like to get paid to squeeze people's heads. It's a hobby of mine and I love it!
It's not really squeezing, just putting on of hands, and I can do it for hours at a time. That would be a lovely tranquil way to make a living. |

... Music Producer working with young up and coming musicians and bands... I'd love to be able to attempt to harness the raw energy of the youth and add a little magic to their tracks. Being that I have no business behind a mixing board (other than to edit raw v/o tracks), that would be a huge leap out of my reality.
I know it's not that simple, and a pipe dream is probably more realistic, but this is fantasy right? _________________ Brian Forrester Voice Overs

I'd like to have enough land to build a nice paved runway in my backyard and spend my afternoons teaching people how to fly.

Believe it or not, my current job is my dream job besides doing VO. I test video games for a living.
Yes, you may touch me.
(But I drop it in a heartbeat if I could support my family doing VO...) _________________ Jeff
