My life is full of distractions these days*, so I appreciate the push/slog to shift our place to a better place. Thank you Deebs!

* Having a slowly declining 96 year old mother live with you for three years, so far, and then shifting her to hospice care here at home is draining and distracting.

My day job has officially ended, so after I decompress a bit, I'll build us a new castle.

Just an update:
I've got the VO-BB Domain in my possession now.
Work on the Moar Modren Board will commence at some point in the foreseeable future.

I'm preparing for The GDEX in Columbus, first week of September. I'll be giving a KEENLY UPDATED presentation to game devs about casting and directing voices, and leading the VO Audition LIVE 2025 workshop.

Hi DB and all. Well... I guess I'm old and set in my ways. I would miss this board if it were to upgrade to something snazzy and get all sophisticated and sanitized and less chatty. I haven't been here for a long time. Just getting back. A close friend who went all negative on everything influenced me. His take on VO-BB and workshops and workouts and coaching and other VO people and stuff soured my opinion and attitude. He was getting nowhere. And I was trotting right along with him. It's so easy to get down.

I was a member of a forum for classical singers that was fanflippingtastic. People talked about EVERYTHING. Some snarky comments. Who cares. Gotta expect that. There was an option to remain anonymous. Some did. Some of them were up in the higher echelon of performers. You could tell. I learned a tremendous amount. And I shared. Then the owner closed it down. It came back in the form of a Facebook forum. Blech. Not the same. It has little soul.

The thing we need here is for people to know about VO-BB, and for the entry page to not have some kind of safety warning. I know job postings are rare because of so many ways people are being cast now, and the huge numbers of people vying for work. But there are workshops and events and such that could be posted here. Other parts of the board could include more activity if people were to post. Life could be regenerated here. But, alas. I feel progress will take over. Or whatever the new stuff is that masquerades as progress. All I know is, progress seems to have more barriers and hurdles to leap and a massive learning curve.

I have spoken. Hey! This was my 100th post here. Pin a star on ME!
