His “name” is James Roger Veritone, Gmail address of that name. Yeah, Veritone. “Went to your site, loved what I heard, yada yada.” He offered $850 and the “you must be of the right mind” crap. This guy(s) must be making money somewhere because he/they have been doing this for years.

Wow. This crap is one of the oldest scams in the book. You F’n waste of humanity. I’m reporting you to every voice actor I can find. Try getting honest work.

I received another one of the game show scams in my email just today. Our market must be flooded with the easily-duped. Almost as bad as the romance scams in the Instagram DM's.

P.S. An agent contacted me months ago requesting an appointment to discuss representation, then ghosted me for two months. I ignored their new request sent yesterday to reschedule since there was no explanation included for their disappearance. Considering that communication is the field we work in, I tend to expect it.

I get surprisingly few "game host show" invitations, especially considering I actually have a game show host VO on one of my demos. But I did get one yesterday, purporting to be form Andrew Dihn Morgan, whoever that is. Nothing about being in a good frame of mind or engineers bringing real perfection. It just said, "I got your contact from your website, Voice over actor needed for a commercial game host show advert project. Please respond if you are available and interested."
For the record, I am not interested.
