2021 strategy. Should anyone send me an audition that has me written all over it, I'll do it. I will also go online and buy a UK National Lottery Scratch Card.
Audition arrived. Mmmyeah! Before submitting I spent £1 on my scratchcard and win £100. That'll feed me and Bess so I'm not bothering with the audition.

Yes, our business is SO great that a scratchcard is a better investment than an audition.

Aw c’mon, don’t you feel kind of special when you’re just one out of 50 or 500 people vying for the same job? With minimally experienced interns making decisions about your abilities at one or more steps along the way to the real decision makers?

Hey kids, hang some blankets on the walls, buy a Yeti mic, and join the fun!

It takes very little for me to ignore an audition nowadays.

Anything that goes: "The client hasn't decided whether he wants an American or British voice... or maybe an Australian. Men, Women, Gender Fluid. All ages are asked to audition." (or similar) immediately gets binned.

Getting a PDF script that has a watermark, storyboard formatting and/or highlighting. Now, my routine is to cut and paste audition copy (just the copy) onto my iPad (mainly because of old eyes) and copying the whole PDF just doesn't work nicely if you want to... let me see... read the bloody thing! Have you ever tried cutting and pasting text from a watermarked, highlighted PDF? If I can't get a readable text file in one minute... then it's in the bin with it.

... oh, and if it comes in from multiple agents... fuggedaboutit cool

I shall now go and invest in a lottery ticket. I need a decent curry, and they're pretty much a luxury item out here.

now i'm craving japanese curry. in spite of all the episodes of red dwarf i've watched, i have yet to have a proper english curry. i feel the need to do a direct comparison.

i think this thread is now about international curry cuisine.

It's getting so I need a demo to do the laundry these days.

I may be unqualified. There wasn't a "Laundry Intensive" class at Fancypants Acting Academy. Funny ...

Oh well. Back to the curry and scratch tickets.
