Well, I took the plunge and bought the "Pro" model, with 60 voices and background music and such. Here's my first creation:

Scared?

If that's the premium version, then I think we are good.
2 points:
1. Don't worry about something you have no control over.
The producers who use this would have been cheap and probably a pain in the ass anyway.
2. I just can't see a day that the nuances of a great read can be automatically re-created. It is difficult for us to give the same read twice. How can we expect a machine to recreate it. The amount of money that goes into video games and they still can't get facial expressions and the gait of a walk correct. _________________ Reading, talking and listening.

OK, let's talk nuance for a moment. A few years back I won an audition for a spot because I nuanced this very nuanceable script to heck and back. This may be unfair comparing what I did, but what the hell, here's my read versus "Billy" from Speechelo. By the way if he sounds a little odd(er) in places, you can add directions to the script on where to add emphasis, where to pause, where to breathe etc.
Oh, and their training videos feature a mix of Ai voices and their own fairly thick Romanian accented voices.
