Don! I just saw this post.....I'm assuming you are referring to me (Tom)...hahahahaha No, I didn't have the day off. I didn't have any more days leave because I took them all to take care of my wife after her surgery. I actually worked from home today. I wouldn't have been able to meet you anyway because I didn't finish shoveling my driveway until 4:30. That was an all day affair. 1/2 hour increments. My driveway was 3 feet deep at least. and I've got a long wide driveway. Thought I was gonna have a heart attack. That was ALOT of shoveling and the snow plows didn't get to my street until after 3:00. Sorry I didn't see this earlier so I could have informed you. _________________ TG2

Whoops! We gots us more than one Tom, and I walk into a room as say "Hey Tom". Yep, I is a real smart one, I am.
Well, Tom Ackerman, if'n you would like to drive out to meet for lunch at the eatin' place at the top of Monument Hill along I-25 in Colorado, I would certainly be happy to buy yer lunch!
Tom Greenlee and I are each about the same distance from Monument, so I was just using that as a wee bit of a joke. I had around two feet of snow here (midway between Denver and Boulder Colorado, altitude 5400 ft) and Tom Greenlee had considerably more than I. To make matters worse, Tom lives in the Mountains and getting down could be a bit tricky. On top of that, Monument Hill was closed. Don't nobody in their right mind wanna be driving on Monument Hill when the snow gets deep - and when it's a genuine, for real blizzard? Well, that is a real experience. Been there. Done that. Wife still won't let me forget it. |
