Along the lines of the Dryer Lint Saga:
If you have a microwave oven (and that's like asking if you have a mic, I suppose) check its fan vents. The vents are usually in the back and can get mighty loaded with dust.
Don't ask me why I know this.
I mean, how often does one clean the back side of one's microwave?

Cleaning your microwave's backside... it's a good thing. |

Our microwave is disposable. If it costs under $100, and gets clogged vents... throw it away and buy a new one.

We've got our above the range.. I think its the third one... running out of places to screw in the mounting plates... but fortunately the vents are on the bottom and easily accessible, though still hidden from view (out of sight out of mind) |

Hmmmm. That's interesting. Thanks for the tip. The fan vent of my old microwave is spotless. However, the rest of my house is a dust, dirt and germ infested hell hole. |

Ho Ho Ho. |
Ironically, we did that for the first time just last week...but only by accident. We were rearranging a few things in the kitchen and when we moved the microwave temporarily we couldn't help but notice the massive wad of "dust bunny" matter globbed all over the fan vent. YIKES! _________________ . If at first you don't succeed, then bomb disposal probably isn't for you. |

So I'm supposed to clean the back of the microwave now?
I'm sure glad I don't have to clean the inside too! _________________ Try to imagine a world where there is no such thing as hypothetical situations.
