Should I be overly concerned that that made me hungry? Smile I am a wee bit disturbed that the wooden spoon jumped back without washing itself.

Thanks for the sentiments...and same to you all.

Frank,

A very Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours as well. And indeed to all our Board community, even if you're in a part of the world that doesn't celebrate this US holiday, have a wonderful balance of the week.

I'm thankful to be here as a part of this family.

Happy T-Giving!!

I'm trying the Alton Brown turkey recipe this year. You soak the bird in brine for 8 hours prior to roasting.

MMmmmmmm. Wink

Yummy!

I'm going to go buy a fully prepared turkey from the deli at my favorite store.

I cooked the Thanksgiving dinner for the first 15+ years of our married life, but for the past few years, we've been going to a nice local restaurant for the big T-Day dinner. It's great. The family actually gets to sit down and enjoy each other's company for an hour or so with no interruptions. The kids don't excuse themselves to run off to their rooms. There's no TV to distract us and there's no preparation...and no cleanup.

Okay, no leftovers for turkey sandwiches for the next week, either. Frown But I can live with that.

Happy T-Day to all.

The love of my life is already baking pies (pumpkin and mincemeat so far) and the house smells soooooooooooooo great!

I just have to post a reply - the super"person" theme...

I'm back in Virginia (Stafford) this week celebrating the fact that my dad is still with us. Brother came in from Germany - so we're making it a family reunion.

Hugs to all!
