VO-BB - 20 YEARS OLD!

I'm at the height of frustration.

last minute project that has to be done yesterday. 24 vignettes, none more than 1:30 in length so the files are pretty small. a main menu, 4 submenus, but what is drving me crazy is the project window (that contains the assets) is constantly re-drawing intself. when I open a timeline, it redraws,; when i select a video file, it re-draws, sometimes twice; when I finally drag and drop the video file on the timeline, it redraws before it places the file on teh timeline. this only seems to be an issue when the video folder and the list of video files is visible (not a problem with the audio) and it takes about a second or two to re-write each name, so with 24 of them there let's see nearly one minute to place a clip on the time line!?!

not to mention I had gone thru this earlier with all the clips on one timeline, set with chapter points but then found the menus wouldn't operate the way I wanted them to (I wanted to play the one chapter then return to the submenu, but apparently you can only add an end action to a timeline, not a chapter, so there goes the mornings work)

sorry for the rant, but besides this I also have the big muckety muck's staff breathing down my neck.

back to bear skins and stone knives!!

I've posted on the DMNForums but not response yet. I have the project 99.9% complete, just have to speak with the client tomorrow to firm up the clip names for the menus, and then time to burn this sucker!
