Me three. Don't have any production aspirations, but it will be nice to have around those few inevitable times when I'll need a music bed and don't have time to invent something in GarageBand.

Missed it! I went to he site today to order and it was no longer there. Called the 800 # and was informed that it expired a few days ago. CRAP! Does anybody know how often they run these specials?

I missed it too! Cry I just found out I need new music for two additional outlets. Anybody have any recommendations? And yes...I'm looking for a deal too.

Our Bruce was selling some of his production library stuff (as well as numerous fabby other things!)—you might want to see if he's got any of his excellent goodies left.

FYI: The deal ended on Wednesday. They do have frequent specials throughout the year...but the products vary. I'm on the customer mailing list so if I receive something of interest I'll be sure and post again.

I'm sorry, but all my libraries went like hotcakes.

I took advantage of the $99 deal and just got the library. Just scanned through it quickly, but it appears most cuts are quite nice. Some of the longer form stuff sounds great for documentaries and the like.

The holiday cuts will come in handy very shortly.

Just sent out a project with the "God rest ye..." cut as the first third.

DJ makes some awesome stuff. My son does the video thing. DJ's toolkits can really "slick up" a piece...I'm very sold on their quality. And this is buy-out stuff.

The preceeding was NOT a paid endorsement although the author would accept donations of free music librarys or bottles of good wine Wink

I like the music put out by Toby Arnold. We used it at the radio station I worked at in the late 90's. Some of it is stand-alone good—I mean I made CDs of stuff I just like to listen to for their own sake.

TA is $$$$

Dolly Arnold was such a joy to deal with. GRHS.

They don't offer any buy-out librarys..or did I miss something?

Dunno-- I think they were license guys.

Top-flight musicians, though. Hot stuff.

Glen Ridge High School?

God rest her soul.

About 2 years ago if I remember correctly.

Super nice woman. Like getting a call from a Southern Belle.

Used to use TA stuff on Star with Mark Driscolls voice.
Kinda "old school"..but so was the station in concept when we started.
Was going for a "period" sound.

I've used music from Music2Hues , pretty affordable and quite good. I used some guitar pickin tracks for my documentary, along with some local banjo picker, and use some of the other discs at work.

Jowillie,

You can still get the Back Traxx II collection on eBay for 189.99 + 19.95 shipping.

No doubt this dude snagged them while they were $99 and is doubling his money. Still not a bad deal I guess. I am going to keep searching for the $99 special though.

I snagged one too..from what I've heard so farit's better than most of the the prod libraries of most of the radio stations I was employed by...(which in some cases isn't saying much) but I just think its so cool cool to have my OWN music library...thanx for the heads up on that...I also went ahead and bought their 10,000 sfx package, which was not on sale but still worth it in my opinion.

Yes, Bill, I am considering the Music2Hues package. It's pretty good. I am also looking around the radio-com buyout section and I sort of like the Muscle Shoals package.
My delima is we will be taking over the imaging, promos and spots for several cableTV ad systems, which means that after a while, the viewer will identify with a specific "sound" if we are not careful.
The synthesizer sound is OK for a few spots scattered here and there, but maybe not for total imaging. Maybe I'm spoiled with the big production of what we have used elsewhere in the past. (for example:http://www.jingles.com/jam/libraries/index.html)
I realize You Get What You Pay For, but budget is tight for a startup until Spring, and we need something to get by and still sound good until then. Maybe we should pay the toll and drag out those oldies (`Scuse me--Classics) again.
