In my previous thread about converting (WordPress) websites to become mobile-friendly, Todd Ellis contributed something to keep in mind:
Quote: | i spoke with a friend of mine who works for google last night. he told me that there is widespread panic over this new algorithm over nothing, at least not right now. what they are doing (he says) is marking sites that ARE mobile friendly and ... maybe ... someday ... limiting searches on mobile devices only to sites that are mobile friendly. |
But, in the meantime, I'd already begun making progress toward making my site mobile-friendly when I found a blog post by a former creative radio coworker who makes several very solid arguments for mobile-friendly sites; the main one being just making things as easy as possible for prospects to find and learn more about you.
Additionally, here are two Google pages to help those wanting to upgrade their sites, whether they be based in WordPress or not:
https://developers.google.com/webmasters/mobile-sites/?hl=en
https://developers.google.com/web/fundamentals/layouts/index?hl=en
If you're not ready to make any changes just yet, bookmark these links for when you are. _________________ Mike
