That is amazing! And cheaper than a mobile home. I wonder what the cost of registration and insurance is? That could be a really fun place to live Smile

Wow! If it didn't need a new Graco head..... and new diesel engines.... and if I didn't get extremely seasick.... I'd be all over this!

You could said that right into Manhattan and dock it at the 79th st boat basin. Sure beats the holiday inn.

But does that qualify as a battleship, or a rowboat?

Todd, while on the subject of offbeat living spaces, something I've ALWAYS wanted to do is to find an old country-style church for sale and convert it into a home.

Scott, in 2001, st. Ann's episcopal church in Anna, Illinois came on the market. It was extremely run down inside, but outside it was all local limestone and, I thought, awesome. They wanted $60k for it and I made an offer of $48k. While we were negotiating the historic preservation group started bitching that Abraham Lincoln Might have gone to church there once and history-this and social-responsibility-that and long story short I ALMOST did that.

St. Ann's was constructed in 1886. If Lincoln dropped by, he must have been pretty ripe.

Todd, the interior of churches can make good studios. Some famous recording spaces of yesteryear were converted churchs or movie theaters. Often not square designs.

ok - i originally posted from my phone so i re-sized the pic to a less life-size measure. jim - the lincoln comment was more tongue-in-cheek. the historical society blocked me all the way - i'm still a little bitter.

i wonder if there's an emoticon for that?
