FYI, a friend here in Portland had his Avalon 737 go belly up last week. He saw my post about the Martech MSS/10, gave me a call and said, 'Sell me on it'. I ended up bringing it over to his place so he could compare with what he had and the equipment he was familiar with. He emailed me the next day and said, 'My Martech will be here Tuesday'.

Thought that might speak louder than any other personal testament I may offer.

That's one seriously dated website, but if Martech put all of the resources into the product I'll let it slide. I have a client with this preamp, now that I've see what it looks like. I like the MUTE button on the front panel, VERY handy if the preamp is in the booth near the mic (where it should be). The lack of any sort of HPF is a bummer, though. How much did you pay for yours, Rick? Looks like it's $1899 at Sweetwater.
