It's a complete MESS. Strange how her computer "housekeeping" so closely resembles her real-life. Embarrassed

I'm guessing that you're completely confident that she will never see that post Smile

... either that, or you're a really brave man!

The funny thing is that, with me, the house is spick'n'span, my computer desktop is completely spartan and uncluttered... but my studio/office... oy, oy, oy... Cry

Protecting yourself from junk... Great piece of software, Deep Freeze.

In a previous life I was a volunteer IT Admin for a private elementary school for dyslexic and autistic kids. There were about 500 networked computers throughout the campus for student use. Students were issued their own usb drives for data which they could take home.

Imagine 400+ 5-16 year olds with free computer reign and the ability to bring data and viruses etc from home. I had my hands full until I found Deep Freeze. I think they still have a free single user version.

Deep Freeze jails the core OS and software. With a couple of secret keystrokes that you create, the original core system is restored and quickly. Unlike Windows the core is immune to viruses and malware. It takes a complete format to get to the the jailed data. I wrote a utility that would run Deep Freeze every night at midnight wiping out all the junk the kids put on from the previous day. In the morning they were like new.
