I got the GV set up as a back up, the client can hear me as I'm recording, I can hear them thru the cans, but I can't figure out how to get the playback of the just recorded take back thru to them... I have the system audio out coming from the interface.. no mixer...

I did a post a while back about how to do it with just a 2-channel interface. Basically, I looped the output back into the second input. If you set it up right, you get the mix-minus deal, and don't get a feedback loop.

Interesting note, I have found that it works in GV, but won't work in Skype. For some reason, I can't get Skype to hear the second input of the interface...but GV will.

There are also multiple ways to do it with internal mixing software...just takes some research and a diagram or two Smile

Yes it does work in GV .. with an Mbox mini 3, patch output 1 to input 2...monitors off... just leave mix knob on P/B and it all works...pretty cool

Looks like I am late to this phone patch party but I'll add my .02 cents...

Despite the rise and decline of ISDN for long distance sessions, the phone patch has been and will always be a keeper in my studio. I used a Symetrix TI101 for close to 30 years before I switched to a Telos One the last time I upgraded the studio. The Telos unit is seamless, glitch free, easy to install/hook up and sounds great on both ends of the patch. If you have the budget to spend in the $400 range you can get a good used unit on Ebay. It's this easy....phone rings..."studio...okay let's get you on the phone patch"...then you press one button...done.
