Glenn, when you say you can hear a difference between 256 and 512 buffer setting, what do you mean?

If you are going to upgrade the RAM, don't bother going to 6GB, go right to 16GB. It's well under $100 these days, if you are a web browser tab addict like me, you WILL notice the difference.

I know it sounds overkill, but many of us drive cars with V6 and V8 engines just in case we need the "overhead" in a crazy freeway merge, even though one almost NEVER needs 300HP+. Oh, and I watch Top Gear UK regularly, but I am stuck driving a '99 Subaru Forester.

George...I heard a slight difference in volume and clarity. It was very slight. Either file would be of good quality. Maybe it was just me but my ears felt like they heard a difference.

Good idea on the Mac RAM.
